A shower filled with plastic.
We don’t use plastic wrap or disposable plastic ware. We don’t drink soda or bottled water. We don’t use sandwich bags very often, and we don’t often forget our reusable grocery bags. I have reusable straws, water bottles, snack pouches. I buy the paper qtips, and my PB and spices in glass jars. And still. Everywhere I look, there’s plastic. Crappy, single-use plastic. The toothpaste tube, the medicine bottle, the cereal box liner, the bag from the frozen peas. We’ve forgotten that the first R stands for REDUCE. Recycling is the LAST option! The only way to make the plastic pollution stop is to stop using the plastic.
